A Winter Pond
Every now and then I take a photo that I am particularly proud of. This was taken 2005-12-24 whilst on a Christmas walk with my family. It was one of those photos which unexpectedly came out just right.
I can really feel the freshness of the day and the people in the background combined with the stillness of the water seem to add to the whole feel of remoteness.
Oddly enought it was taken near a fairly built up area of London.
A couple of people have said to me that their first impression of the log in the bottom left corner was that it’s a body. It isn’t, but it does prove that the atmosphere of the photo does have an implication of horror.
